Migraine Toolbox

The Allay Lamp is one of those lovely products I discovered when I was looking for an alternative to medicine to help with my migraines.  It is simply using light which I love-

There is no magic or luck in the discovery of the Allay light. It is based on scientific evidence from nearly ten years of research at one of the world's leading research hospitals.

The studies show that everyday light, made up of all the colors of light – red, yellow, green, blue, etc., generates large electrical signals in the eye and brain, which tend to hurt people with light sensitivity.

In contrast, a very specific narrow band of green light - which is the only light emitted by the Allay Lamp - generates small electrical signals in the eye and brain and therefore does not hurt people with light sensitivity.

You may be able to use you HSA/FSA card for this but it truly depends on your insurance, but I would definitely check. You can get $25 dollars off using this link

When A migraine hits often it affects the eyes. I know I get pain behind my eyes and become very sensitive to light. I love the migraine pillow below because you can warm and cool it depending on how I am feeling at the time which varies.  The glasses are helpful when I have to push through my day in the with the fluorescent lights (although I would prefer my comfy bed). AND I love a comfortable pillow and these bamboo pillows feel great during a migraine ( although once again I would prefer not to have it at all)
